Uncharted 3 Review

http://tappingsource.wordpress.com/2011/12/02/uncharted-3-short-review/

Related back to an earlier post on my initial impression of Uncharted 3; I haven ow completed and all I can say is that my feelings then were just that– initial.
My main problem with Uncharted 3 was that it missed the thrill of the previous two games. Without doubt the graphics were fantastic and the surrounds were okay, but gameplay was predominantly thoughtless. The thing I love the series for is its balance of 3rd person action and puzzle solving. There must have been a handful of puzzles in this titles. With most of the focus on running through almost duplicated scenes filled with explosions and gun battles, which are made horrible with the poor target system and tedious weapons.
Click to read the conclusion of this review (spoiler alert)
Least favourite moments of Uncharted 3
The finale. After rescuing Sully and battling the desert; gameplay is shitty battle after battle, senseless and boring action. Preventing the enemies from obtaining their super powerful chemical was easy– in that, the cutscene resolved the issue and killed the head of the organisation for you. All we had to do was a shitty knife fight on a crumbling platform and then run. The end cutscene was cliched and flat.
Most favourable moments of Uncharted 3
The desert sands. What brave game making, panning out this slow, tiring and beautifully rendered scenario. We journey, struggling with every thirsty step with Drake through miles of desert. The effect of intercut scene after scene in all conditions is truly emotive and immersive.
Overall, Uncharted did not leave me wanting more from the franchise in the way that the other two did. In fact, I just wanted to get it over and done with and sell it.
6/10 Website Rating
Opinion:
Allright game, i have only played it at a friends house so i am not to judge it, i will be staying with the website rating for this one!

Far Cry 3 Preview & Release Date

 http://ps3.ign.com/articles/121/1218801p1.html

Far Cry 3 has been given an official release date of September 4th 2012 in the U.S. and September 7th 2012 in the U.K. The third instalment of the popular franchise returns to its root, setting the action on a tropical island. You play as Jason Brody, an unfortunate tourist who has been stranded on the island due to a local conflict that has been raging for years. Separated from his girlfriend, he has to take on a host of unsavory and rather violent individuals. When Tequila Shots Turn Into Gun Shots...

Jason's Thought's:
To be honest, this series has proved itself 2 times there is no reason for the third to be any less exciting! This game looks amazing, the story doesn't sound amazing but we shall find out eventually if Far Cry 3 has stood up to it's past games!   I can't give this a rating yet but i will get back to it! Enjoy this Far Cry 3 Trailer now!

Effing Worms Review (Online Internet)

Written By: Jason the Review man!

Absolutely the most ADDICTING game i have ever played in my life! In this game you play as a mutant worm that goes underground and kills everything from fighter jets to cows and dogs! You can upgrade your worm after each stage for more health, Speed, agility and many more upgrades! It is an addicting game BUT after a while the game play gets repetitive after you level up to the highest level possible (u get wings ;)!!) Otherwise this game is a fun bloody game that is extremely exciting! It is intense with lots of action and blood and it is a truly satisfying game for a few weeks! Overall i'll give this game a 4.5/5 OR 9/10!! AMAZING!!

 Battlefield 3 Review

This is unbelievable; Battlefield 3 has been released by the developer. Every boy, young and grown up love to play a game, video game, battlefield 1 has reached top popularity when it was first released couple years ago. Now the Bad Company, the developer of Battlefield, make cooperation with DICE, creative company who handle the visual design, has released Battlefield 3 to satisfy the Battlefield’s fans. It took long years of waiting the sequel of Battlefield, at the first time Battlefield game only come in PC. But now the company will fulfill the request of gamer all over the world to produce Battlefield Game 3 in Xbox 360, Play station 3 and also PC. It’s your choice to choose in what console to play this game and win the battle.

Opinion of Jason: Amazing multiplayer but this time the Battlefield series has tried to hard to make this game like the COD series!! The old fashioned battlefield games like 1942 and 1943 and battlefield 2 are signature battlefield games which use huge maps and many players! I felt like this one is a wanna be COD MW3!!!

4/5 AMAZING!

Skyrim Review

Website: http://mulegaming.com/102-short-review-of-a-masterpiece-elder-scrolls-v-skyrim.html

Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim is a fantasy role-playing game that will keep you fully entertained as you explore the secrets of the northern realm known as Skyrim. It is a harsh, ice-cold place whose gloominess is sometimes interrupted by the heavenly stretches of the aurora borealis.

The game abounds in numerous adventures; so many that you’ll find yourself spoilt for choice as you try to decide what area of your quest log is best to be approached. If you opt to stick with the storyline, you’ll soon found out that it is the soul of a dragon that drives you, and that you are the key element to figuring out why dragons have returned to Skyrim, spreading fear and terror amongst the masses.  You will also have to deal with dragons and all sorts of situations in your quest to find another important character that was assumed dead.

As you travel through the realm you’ll get to empathize and fight with the terrorized locals, conjoining forces against the hovering beasts and becoming the hero of more than one city.

Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim will have you face lots of quests and even if some puzzles or repeat landscape designs might melt your enthusiasm, the latter will spring back again sooner than you’d expect.

As you play, you will discover all sorts of elements that will help you along your way, enhancing your attributes, but you might also stumble upon words written in the language of the dragons. These are incredibly essential tools to using the realm’s most powerful spells, also called shouts. The latter have to be activated, however, by killing Skyrim’s dragons and absorbing their souls. Shouts cannot determine the outcome of battles, but will surely come in handy when danger is lurking nearby.

Opening the game will prompt you to create your character and choose from a variety of races, but your skill level won’t be influenced by that aspect. It is the way you play that will determine your success with using spells, weapons and so on.

One nuisance of the game is friendly Al, a companion that will hinder and annoy you rather than help and support you through the game.

Third-person view and general movement are much improved compared to the previous games of the Elder Scrolls saga. Also, the conversations seem much more natural in Skyrim. Another disadvantage refers to the fact that you can get stuck in the environment. And even if your PC is well adjusted to play Skyrim, you can still face a couple of game crashes.

There are also small details of the game that might annoy you at some point, but, overall, the game is great and full of delights and improvements never seen before in an RPG game. It is undoubtedly an incredibly tempting game, and a must for all fans of the genre.

Happy Wheels (Online internet) Review

Awesome Game i swear to god! ITS AMAZING! Fun bloody, lot and lots of laughs! an awesome 9/10 (minor bugs and issues)

Where to play: www.totaljerkface.com

Happy Wheels. The game where people are made out of hotdogs and held together with silly putty. The game where you can launch your son out of his bicycle chair into a harpoon trap so he can disarm it for you. The game where fat shoppers have spring-loaded shopping carts, the game where hobos can afford rocket-powered wheelchairs, the game where lawnmowers can kill people by jumping on top of them and grinding them down to the bone! This, is HAPPY WHEELS!
I have never had as much fun with a game before as I have had with Happy Wheels. From the creator of the sidescrolling shooter Divine Intervention comes a ragdoll-physics vehicle-based platformer with plenty of blood, gore, and comedy! There is so much humor to be found in the Holy Grail known as Happy Wheels. Wether it be from you getting violently gored on a spike trap or having your intestines get stuck on a block and dangle you from the ground, there's plenty of laughs to go around. New boss at work getting on your nerves? Depict him as a fat shopping lady and pierce him to death with harpoons! Need a stress reliever? Take a stroll through the level Happy Green Hills on a moped for two. Want a challenge? Pick one of the many platforming levels and have a Mario-like adventure. Feel creative? Open up the level editor and make a masterpiece of your own! In conclusion, YOU MUST PLAY THIS GAME. YOU HAVE NOT LIVED UNTIL YOU HAVE.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 Review
It would be easy to dismiss Modern Warfare 3 as just another iterative update to the massively successful shooter series. After attending a preview event this summer, I left with concerns that the Infinity Ward/Sledgehammer Games collaboration shelved the multiplayer innovation Treyarch introduced with Black Ops in favor of more minor, underwhelming updates. Some of my early concerns proved valid, but many of the incremental tweaks are smart additions to the multiplayer experience. Modern Warfare 3 does little to fundamentally change the well-known franchise formula, but it offers enough enhancements to recommend it to any fan.

On the surface, this Call of Duty experience is similar to the other Modern Warfare games. If a casual fan sat down for a few rounds of team deathmatch or domination, it would be easy to forgive them for mistaking this for a map pack. Its visuals are familiar, most of the weapons are recycled from previous games, the tight gunplay feels similar, maps are still fairly cramped affairs for the most part, assembling a party operates the same, and many of the killstreak rewards return. Modern Warfare 3’s most noteworthy tweaks may be smaller changes, but they add up to contribute in a big way.

Jason's opinion
This is an interesting game, but overall it is not the BEST Cod in my opinion! It feels like a Cod black ops with more weps, maps and perks! The rating from me says it all:

7/10 (Alright!)

Saints Row: The Third Review

An open world adult theme park where we can treat ourselves to delightful acts of bloodshed and perversion!!!

A video game's first responsibility -- arguably its only responsibility -- is to show the player a good time. To say that Saints Row: The Third is a good time would be a severe understatement. Running naked around the fictional city of Steelport wiping out rival gangs with mind-controlling octopi delivered some of the most fun I've had this year. There may be a tendency to dismiss Saints Row as a Grand Theft Auto clone (it isn't) or as juvenile antics (it is) but when you just want to indulge in some mindless violence and sexual depravity, this will more than suffice.
Saints Row the Third takes you out of Stilwater, the setting for the first two games, and drops you into the new city of Steelport. Three local gangs are well-entrenched, but the Third Street Saints aren't going to settle for fourth place. Your job throughout Saints Row the Third is to take over this new city and crush the competition.

After an intro mission sets up your exit from Stilwater you'll get the chance to customize your character. Customization plays a big part in the entire game, from your body to your dress to your vehicles. I love that, at a glance, no two players' games will look alike -- one will star a voluptuous vixen in a cocktail dress while the next may feature a blue sumo wrestler with cat eyes that speaks in zombie gibberish.
Before the credits roll you'll catsit a tiger, play a hilarious text adventure, get a sex change, hack up Mexican wrestlers with a chainsaw, visit a Tron-like computer world, and participate in many other ridiculous leisure activities. Saints Row the Third can be accused of being many things, but repetitive isn't one of them.

When you need a break from story missions you'll find loads of optional activities all over Steelport that boost your street cred and earn you cash. My favorites are the Insurance Fraud missions, holdovers from Saints Row 2 that ask you to run into traffic and cause as much bodily harm to yourself as possible before time runs out.

Pretty much anything you choose to do in Saints Row: The Third has been incentivized and will earn you either money or respect. Money can get you territory, weapons, upgrades, and threads. Respect works like experience points, unlocking new abilities such as "infinite sprint" and "no fall damage." Everything from near collisions while driving to running down the street naked earns you respect, which is fantastic game design -- we're constantly rewarded for simply playing the game. I was addicted to maximizing my hourly income and planning my character upgrades.

There IS a lot more to say, but all i'll say for now is, its good game!

8.5Presentation
Plot points mostly serve as a way to get you into ridiculous situations. I really like the phone/menu interface. Setting up co-op is a breeze.
8.0Graphics
The city of Steelport looks great, but you'll notice a lot of pop-up and jerky animations.
9.5Sound
The licensed soundtrack is fantastic and voice acting -- for the most part -- is very well done.
8.5Gameplay
Saints Row 3 isn't trying to be anything but fun, and it succeeds. RPG elements incentivize every little thing you do, making for an addictive open world game with no pretense.
8.5Lasting Appeal
There were 14 hours on the clock when I beat the campaign, but I've since kept playing to the 22 hour mark and am still at only 86 percent completion.

Jason's Opinion
OVERALL 8.5/10
